2014 looking to be a fun year. The launch of GOTcompany at Spitalfields Festival in June probably the highlight, but also directing Crowd Out there (a fantastically exciting new commission with Birmingham, Berlin and New York), acting in and developing Ian MacMillan’s (R3’s The Verb) first play Nosferatu in March, directing King Arthur in April in Northern Ireland, Fairy Queen in Middle Temple Hall (London) in October, and reviving the fantastic Leise/Caurier production of Il Barbiere di Siviglia at ROH in September. Also having fun with being a tenor (John Passion arias in Chichester on Good Friday with Hanover Band) and writing/performing a couple of programmes, including at Endellion Festival, where we will do a concert to commemorate the anniversary of WW1 in an interesting way! Meanwhile my boys are thriving in Temple Choir, where I get to do some teaching and generally help. Who’d be them, I know, I know. Roger Sayer is the new Director of Music there, and very exciting it is too. Anyway, for all of the above, and other things, watch this space..
